weekend wrap up
saturday i finally got out in the afternoon. the sun was partially out and temps were in the upper twenties to low thirties. i ended up with 17 miles at 8:15 pace.
it snowed a little overnight so sunday morning i pulled out the Yaktrax that santa brought me and put them on an older pair of shoes. essentially, Yaktrax are kind of like when people put chains on their tires. in this case, chains on your shoes. temps were about 10 degrees with a strong NW wind. i ran a total of 6 miles at about 9 minute pace.
this morning i got out and ran 7 miles at 8:30 pace. temps were around 5 degrees. oddly enough, i spotted a grocery cart in the middle of the glacial drumlin trail today.
