where the sidewalk ends

i opted to change things up today and ran along a road that i don’t normally frequent. nearby is a section of new condo units that have sprung up along the west side of the town. the concrete sidewalk was likely poured in the last year or two and came to an abrupt end at the edge of the condo development. i came to a stop and for a moment pondered whether to do a 180 for home or bound over the culvert to run along the side of the country road.

my choice was the country road and as i made my way back into town i kept a sharp lookout for oncoming traffic. before long, i was in familiar surroundings and made my way past uw-waukesha towards home. overall, i mustered seven miles in a few ticks past an hour and hit the shower.
