try, try again

i’ve been battling a virus for most of this week. today was the first day that i felt close to normal so i geared up for a morning constitutional. temps were in the mid-30’s and the sky was clear. i ran down comanche then up university avenue. after 2.5 miles, i did a 180 and headed for home. honestly, with as little as i’ve been running, the effort felt laborious. it’s hard to explain, but when my training is regular and consistent it feels as though i’m on "auto-pilot" when i run. regardless, my focus is to get habitual with my running again. thankfully, my weight hasn’t skyrocketed during this downtime which will make it easier to return to form.
