morning constitutional

i rolled myself out of bed this AM and got geared up for my first morning constitutional in quite awhile. temps were about 40 degrees so i wore long pants, 2 long sleeved shirts and a winter hat. i skipped the gloves and honestly felt pretty comfortable.

i neglected to bring my duffel bag into the house last night…which still has the gear i ran in yesterday afternoon in it. i can’t wait to address that tonight…ugh. my GPS watch was in the duffel and i didn’t feel like grabbing it so i ran without.

i headed down the hill on comanche the made a left toward town on the glacial drumlin trail. i made my turn down at bethesda park and reversed the course back in. now that the weather is more pleasant, i have been running without the ipod. the birds are awfully noisy in the minutes before the sun rises, which is a welcome change from howling winds in the winter time.

regardless, my effort netted me 7 miles and i hit the shower.

if my math is correct, i’ve logged a massive 73 miles this month to date. ugh…
