sunny saturday

i got out this afternoon with temps in the mid-40’s and sunny skies. i headed onto the same route as last saturday ending up with 12 miles at 7:38 pace. running a solid pace for 90 minutes then coming back the next day for a long run is awful challenging. we’ll see how my legs are tomorrow.

feeling frisky

i didn’t get up to run in the morning as my oldest two daughters were both up in the middle of the night. i ended up bringing gear and went "off reservation" for the noon hour. temps were in the upper 30’s with a light south wind. i headed north and made the turn at 2.5 miles in about 18 minutes. i headed back, into the wind, in about 16 minutes for an impromptu MP (Marathon Pace) run. not a bad way to spend the lunch hour. (i did forget a towel so i had to use paper toweling and stand under the air dryer for awhile after my shower…ugh!)

snooze

this morning i opted to hit the snooze button and get an extra hour of sleep. temps outside were going to be in the single digits and i didn’t feel like running all bundled up. the good news is that it’s warming up. tomorrow morning it should be in the upper 20’s!

love that snow

another inch or so fell overnight making it a bit more difficult footing for a morning run. temps were in the upper teens with a light wind from the north. i met up with Double on the way east on Madison and headed for a loop around Frame Park. ended up with 7.8 miles at slightly slower than nine minute pace.

FMAO – Froze My @ss Off

5 degrees this morning, with very little wind. normally, i head into the wind to start my morning constitutional. it’s been rather boring to keep heading north so it was nice to be able to head south and east today. all things considered, it was a fairly mundane effort. my eyelashes only started to freeze together in the last mile. ended up with 7 miles at roughly 8:20 pace.
