shine on
my morning constitutional was rather quiet today. aside from two cyclists zooming past me with their headlights on, and another runner who opted to shine me with his flashlight as he passed in the other direction, i had the glacial drumlin trail to myself. at this time of the year, my weekday morning runs occur in the darkness before the sun rises. i brought along a small headlamp clipped to my cap but didn’t bother using it as the light from the moon & stars was enough to see where i was going. regardless, i mustered a total of 7.5 miles in about 64 minutes and headed for the shower.
